Revision & Interventions
Intervention and Additional Support
Intervention is additional support provided to students beyond the regular classroom, designed to help them achieve their full potential.
As part of our ongoing commitment to raising student attainment, we provide a range of structured opportunities for Year 11 students to access extra support across subjects. These opportunities are designed to build confidence, strengthen knowledge, and support students in achieving their best possible outcomes.
Get Exam Ready Sessions
We offer Get Exam Ready sessions for all Year 11 students from Tuesday to Friday after school. These sessions are led by subject specialists and focus on key knowledge, exam techniques, and targeted areas for improvement.
Transport is provided to ensure all students can attend and benefit from this provision.
Holiday Revision Sessions
During the school holidays, we also provide additional revision sessions for Year 11 students. These are delivered by subject specialist staff and offer focused support in key subject areas. Again, students are able to sign up for transport to ensure everyone can access these sessions.
Working Lunches
Students are also able to access additional support through working lunches with inpidual members of staff.
These sessions provide personalised guidance, allowing students to address specific areas of need in a focused and supportive environment.
Ambition Programme
Our Ambition programme runs on Thursday evenings until 5pm, offering students a quiet, structured space for independent study. Staff are available to support students as needed, helping them to develop effective study habits, resilience, and independence in their learning.
Research from the Education Endowment Foundation highlights that extended school time and targeted support can significantly enhance student progress. Our provision is designed with this in mind, ensuring all students have access to meaningful opportunities to succeed.
