At Wellfield our school uniform is an important expression of our pride in ourselves as a school and we expect all students in correct uniform. We are delighted by the effort that our parents and students make into ensuring that the uniform is the smartest in the county.
We recognise that uniform can be expensive for parents and we want to ensure that parents get the best prices but also have choice in where to buy certain parts of the uniform, whilst also maintaining high standards. In order to help parents with the purchase of school uniform please read the guide below. However, if you have any concerns or queries about the purchasing of school uniform please check with the school before doing so.

There are a great many different styles of trousers, skirts and shoes available on the high street and we appreciate it is sometimes difficult for parents to know what is acceptable. In order to help please see the photographs below as a guide to the types that are acceptable.
We will not accept trousers that have pocket zips or rips in, no black denim, jeggings or leggings, or trousers/skirts that are a tight fitting. Skirts should be of knee length and should be either straight or pleated with no front or side splits. Sensible, plain black, formal shoes with no logos should be worn. Students may bring trainers to change into at break time if they play sport on the yard, but they must change back into their black smart shoes quickly for lessons.
Outdoor coats are of course acceptable (worn over the blazer) and can be stored in the student’s locker during the day. Hooded/trainer tops and denim jackets are not allowed in school.
No jewellery, except a watch, is allowed in school.
The school does not permit students to have haircuts that could serve as a distraction to others. Such haircuts include Mohican style, close shaved heads, No.1 (either full head or part thereof), shaved patterns in hair mullets (including ”rat tails”), none natural hair coloured dyes, dipped hair dying etc.
