Wellfield School Ski Trip 2023
After four successful ski trips to Pila in the Italian Alps 2017-2020 we unfortunately had to cancel the 2021 and 2022 trips due to Covid. The school is hoping to return to the ski resort of Pila in the Italian Alps in March 2023. The trip will again be organised through the company Interski. Interski have been organising and taking schools to the Aosta region for numerous years and have an established reputation in the area. Their website can be accessed via https://www.interski.co.uk
Due to the trip being cancelled this year and to ensure that we have sufficient student numbers to allow the trip to go ahead next year we have been in discussion with our partnership schools at New College Durham Academies Trust (NCDAT). We have decided to run a joint trip with NCDAT in 2023.
The trip is open to current Years 7 to 9 and will comprise of students from Wellfield and our partner schools, Consett Academy and North Durham Academy. The trip is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn a new skill whilst also providing a new learning and cultural experience.
The trip will leave on Saturday the 4th March 2023, returning on Saturday 11th March 2023. Students will be staying in the Hotel Express which is located in the historic town of Aosta. Numbers will be restricted and attendance will be dependent upon behaviour and attendance criteria (subject to discretionary review).
Once numbers for each school have been confirmed a meeting for parents/carers will be organised in Wellfield to provide full details of the trip. At this point a non-refundable deposit of £100 will be required to book a place.

Included in the cost of the trip are:
Accommodation 5 nights at the Hotel on a half board basis.
Hot snack lunches Daily supervised lunches on the mountain.
Lift Pass 5-day lift pass for the full ski area in Pila.
Return Travel Executive coach and cross channel ferry, including
breakfast.
Tuition 5-day snow sport course including 5 hours tuition
per day by fully qualified English-speaking instructors.
Ski and Ski boot hire From Interski’s purpose-built equipment hire centre.
